Motorcyclists injured in Sturgeon Bay accident

A motorcyclist and his passenger  sustained injuries in an accident inadvertently caused by another motorist in Sturgeon Bay, as reported by the Green Bay Press-Gazette.  According to the report, the motorcyclist crashed after he attempted to avoid colliding with a pickup truck that was pulling out from a Walmart parking lot.

The pickup’s driver apparently failed to notice approaching motorcyclist, according to Sturgeon Bay Police. The motorcyclist was able successfully avoid a collision when he intentionally laid down his motorcycle. The motorcyclist’s passenger complained of experiencing pain in the hip after the accident. Both the motorcyclist and his passenger were wearing protection accessories, and neither were thrown from the motorcycle.
