3 injured in Town of Lyons accident

Three people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle collision that occurred in the Town of Lyons, a March 26 article of My Racine County reported.

According to reports, at about 12:20 p.m. on March 19, an SUV and a U-Haul vehicle were involved in an accident on Highway 36. The incident reportedly happened after the westbound SUV, driven by Philip Carney Jr., went into the opposite lane and struck the U-Haul, driven by Donald Oliver Wilkens. Carney, 70, was airlifted to a hospital to treat his critical injuries while his wife, Carol Carney, was treated for minor injuries in another hospital. Wilkens was also treated for minor injuries in a local hospital. As of March 21, authorities were investigating the area where the collision took place.
