Suspected drunk driver blamed for damaging Racine house in accident

A house in Racine County was recently damaged after a vehicle operated by a suspected drunk driver crashed into it, a December 22 article from the Journal Sentinel reported.

According to reports, at around 11:00 p.m. on December 21, authorities were notified of an accident that took place in the 1100 block of 12th Avenue, Village of Union Grove. Responding authorities reported that the driver failed to properly negotiate a turn and, instead, drove over the curb and the residents’ front yard, eventually crashing the house. Racine authorities said that the house sustained “excessive damage” and they confirmed that, thankfully, none of the individuals inside the house sustained any injuries. The driver who crashed into the house was cited for drunk driving and was treated for minor injuries.
