Two pedestrians hospitalized in Madison accident

A recent pedestrian accident in the Madison area has sent two victims to the hospital for injuries sustained after they were hit by a car while attempting to cross the street.

Reports said that Madison police officers responded to the accident on the 3500 block of Monroe Street at around 8:30 on the evening of November 19th. On the scene, they found a 53-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman who had been struck by a moving vehicle while attempting to cross in a crosswalk. The names of the victims have been withheld, and both were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. The man is listed in stable condition while the woman’s injuries are critical at this point.

The driver who struck the pedestrians was reportedly not using a cell phone at the time of the accident and is cooperating with police investigations. No arrests have been made nor have any citations been issued.
