Bicyclist hurt in Racine County hit-and-run

A male bicyclist recently suffered injuries in Racine County after he was struck by a vehicle, an August 11 article from Fox 6 reported.

Reports said that at approximately 1:00 a.m., a man only identified as a 38-year-old Waterford resident, was struck from behind while riding in the southbound lane of STH 36 in the vicinity of W. Loomis Road. The vehicle responsible for hitting the cyclist reportedly left the scene of the accident.

The cyclist, who was later brought to Froedtert Hospital, sustained injuries to his collarbone, hip, and to other parts of his body. Racine authorities are currently looking for the owner of a possible dark vehicle after one of its side mirrors was found at the scene of the accident.
