One teen charged and two killed in Milwaukee car accident

Eighteen-year-old Gerald Harper was charged in the wake of a fatal car accident in Milwaukee, the Journal Sentinel reported on March 27.

According to reports, the car accident occurred in Washington Heights at 3:30 p.m., near W. Lloyd Street and Hi-Mount Blvd. Harper and a 17-year-old boy were riding in a vehicle, later found by police to be stolen, when they crashed into a car driven by an unnamed 47-year-old man and carrying two 16-year-old boys–Jamar Canady and Marquise Tate. Both Tate and Canady were killed in the accident, while Harper, the other driver, and the 17-year-old teen riding with Harper all incurred injuries.

Authorities apprehended Harper and filed charges against him, including two counts of negligent driving resulting in homicide and another two counts of driving a vehicle with a revoked license, causing homicide. Harper was scheduled to appear in court on April 3.

The Green Bay legal team of Habush Habush & Rottier extends their deep condolences to all of those affected by this tragic incident.
