Over 200k Nissan vehicles with faulty airbags added to recall

More than 200,000 vehicles with potentially faulty airbags are being added by Nissan to an existing recall.

According to reports, at least 226,326 different models of Nissan vehicles are being added to a list of previous recalled vehicles that are equipped with Takata airbags. This brings the total number of recalled vehicles to 664,628. Nissan is just one automaker that has issued a recall of vehicles over concerns that the airbags in affected vehicles may burst and shoot metal fragments upon activation. Nissan representative Brian Brockman said there were no reported injuries that involved the recalled vehicles. Owners of recalled Nissan vehicles will be contacted for a free replacement of their airbag systems.
