Intoxicated driver gets seven years for deadly Waukegan accident

The driver who was under the influence of heroin when he struck two people on a sidewalk last year will be imprisoned for seven years, an article by the Lake County News-Sun stated on June 19.

After agreeing to a plea bargain deal, Aaron Stoen avoided a potential 14 year sentence. Stoen admitted he took heroin on October 2013 before hitting two pedestrians on a sidewalk in Sunset Avenue. Fahim Zamich, one of the victims, died in a hospital after the crash. The unnamed injured man stated that the injuries sustained in the accident ruined the dreams and goals he had for his life.

Unfortunately in the Green Bay area alone, the lawyers at Habush Habush & Rottier understand that many lives are negatively affected by injuries caused by intoxicated drivers. If you have experienced this, we may work for you to get the funds you need to recover. Discuss your situation with us today by calling 800-242-2874.
