Jaguar Land Rover to recall more than 3,000 SUVs with defective airbags

Jaguar Land Rover Automotive announced a recall of thousands of its Range Rover units due to an airbag defect, Automotive News reported January 3.

Earlier this month, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) received reports that airbags installed in the front seats of 2013 and 2014 Range Rover SUVs might not function during a collision, as the airbag system’s connector may fail to connect. The NHTSA added that no injuries were reported to have been associated with this defect.

The product recall is estimated to affect 3,912 Range Rover SUVs in the country.
