Students hurt when pickup truck strikes van

Six high school students in Spooner were hurt last Wednesday when a pickup truck hit the school-owned van in which they were riding. The van was being driven by a teacher when the collision occurred.

According to the New Richmond News, the van was traveling westbound to enter Highway 63 from Green Valley Road when it was hit by a southbound pickup truck. The students were taken to Spooner Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Neither driver was hurt in the accident. At this time, the crash is still under investigation by the Wisconsin State Police.
