High school students killed in Campbellsport crash

A fatal car accident in Ashford has claimed the lives of three teenage girls.

An 18 year-old student at Campbellsport High School was driving eight of her friends in her SUV early Saturday morning when she lost control of her vehicle, causing it to roll several times. Two girls were pronounced dead at the scene, and another died at the hospital the next day.

Four teenagers are in critical condition, and two are in satisfactory condition. Officers said some of the girls were ejected from the vehicle because they were not wearing their seat belts. The girls were members of the varsity and junior varsity teams. Parents say the girls were having a sleep over that night.

Our thoughts are with the families and friends of the girls affected by the accident.
