Drunk driver who injured four to face charges

Appleton Sheriff’s Deputies report that an Appleton man was drunk behind the wheel at the time of a October crash that left four injured.

The accident occurred in Oneida around 12:20 AM on October 24. Police responded to reports of a crash on Vine Road and found a severely damaged truck that appeared to have rolled over several times before coming to a stop in a ditch.

The 34-year-old male driver of the truck told deputies he had recently left a Kaukauna bar, and breathalyzer tests showed his blood-alcohol concentration to be 0.14 percent.

The four passengers in the man’s truck were injured and taken to a local area hospital.

This was the man’s third drunk driving offense and if convicted he will face a maximum of 24 years in prison and a $40,000 fine.
