Green Bay car accident shuts down power in about 100 homes

A crash in Green Bay Wednesday knocked out power to about 100 customers. According to Wisconsin Public Service, the accident occurred near West Mason Street.

The accident was a single-vehicle crash, in which a woman lost control of her vehicle, hit a tree, and damaged a live wire. According to police reports, the woman was intoxicated when the accident occurred.

Green Bay police said a single vehicle went off West Mason Street near La Count Road, hit a tree and knocked down live wires at 2:21 a.m.

A woman, who was not injured, was alone in the vehicle. She was cited for operating while intoxicated, police said.
