Drunk driver receives 4th conviction

A 37 year-old Wausau man plead guilty this week to his fourth DWI conviction after he was arrested for drunk driving and texting last October.
The man hit a squad car at a stoplight on Bridge Street when he was texting on his cellphone. The officer found empty beer cans and an uncased rifle with a bullet nearby in the front seat. Uncased bows and arrows were also found in the suspect’s back seat.
A breathalyzer test showed that his blood alcohol level was above the legal limit of 0.08, but due to his prior convictions the man cannot have a blood alcohol content over 0.04.
