Truck accident in Green Bay kills one

A 29-year-old man was killed in a truck accident in Green Bay on Interstate 57.

The accident occurred just before 3 a.m. when the driver of the semi-truck was hauling hay on Interstate 57 when he collided with a utility vehicle. The passenger of the second vehicle was killed in the accident. A 19-year-old man was seriously injured and two others, including the driver of the semi-truck suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Officials have said that they believe that the driver of the semi-truck may have fallen asleep at the wheel right before the accident. The roadway was closed for several hours after the accident occurred in order for police to investigate and for emergency crews to work.
